Rudbeckia occidentalis, WESTERN CONE FLOWER #1 [gallon]

A dramatic plant for the tall border with large petaless flower heads that are dark brown in color. Finches can often be observed feasting on the ripe flower heads. Is useful for cutting both fresh and dried.  When we would take our children camping in the late summer, they would pull the seed head off and through them at each other.  The Western Cone Flower is on the right side of the photo in front of the Penstemon baccata.
